KommunikationswerkstattPLUS (Communication Workshop)
- Professionalize communication skills in teaching and learning contexts in order to prepare a repertoire of communication routines to be used in everyday school life.
- Develop language practices by analyzing, reflecting on and training of self-regulative processes in relation to aspects of the teacher's personality.
- Application-oriented teaching in seminars, workshops and coaching sessions in combination with digital offers for teaching and learning.
KommunikationswerkstattPLUS (Communication workshop PLUS) aims at professionalizing the communication skills of future teachers. Pre-service teachers develop a language style repertoire in order to use communication routines to be able to act flexibly in everyday school life. The project focuses on supporting the individual development of respectful, authentic and professional language styles and, above all, to include the personality of future teachers. A psycholinguistic database is being created to allow a deeper exploration of this subject.
Research-based teaching programmes make use of the principle of CommunicationART (KommunikationsART according to Anselm/Werani 2017) in seminars, workshops, individual training and coaching sessions. This principle postulates a three-step approach of analysis (A), reflection (R) and training of self-regulative processes (T). The aim is for students, teacher trainees and teachers to develop a sound and varied portfolio of language styles in order to express themselves adequately in every (teaching) situation. To this end, both analogue and digital offers are available.
One of the main goals of the project is to create an online portal comprising software tools and blended-learning formats for the students to work autonomously on their own analysis and reflection skills based on seminar and workshop offerings. During the first part of the project individual software tools have already been tested and digital offerings have been developed. The next step is to enhance all offerings in accordance with data privacy guidelines and make them available from a single source, while implementing collaborative and cooperative forms of teaching.
