UNI-Klasse (especially equipped classrooms with a focus on languages, science and inclusion)
- The goal of the UNI-Klasse is to develop and to test teaching concepts.
- With the help of technical tools and equipment (camera system, acoustics room, digital network) teaching units can be planned, observed, carried out and reflected upon.
- The concept of UNI-Klasse Sprachen (languages) promotes practical relevance during teacher training and serves to professionalise all three stages of teacher training.
UNI-Klasse consist of three specially equipped classrooms at Städtische Ludwig-Thoma-Realschule (languages), at Lion-Feuchtwanger-Gymnasium München (science) and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (inclusion).
The flexible furniture as well as the room structure can be quickly and easily adapted to fit various social forms of teaching. The room structure allows for catering to individual needs. Through a remote-controlled camera system and state-of-the-art recording techniques (camera system, acoustic optimisation, digital network) it is possible to observe and record without disturbing the lesson in the adjoining room. In this setting seminar groups can plan, observe and analyse lesson segments themselves.
The concept of UNI-Klasse promotes a realistic connection to the teaching profession during teacher training and represents an important vehicle of professionalization at all three stages (teaching students, teacher trainees and further training of in-service teachers). In-service teachers can use the UNI-Klasse for teaching, teaching students can use it for seminars and trial lessons. The room is also available for seminars during the traineeship stage and for further training of in-service teachers.
