Inklusionspädagogisches Grundlagenmodul (inclusion-oriented foundation module)
- The objective of the inclusion-oriented foundation module at the Chair of School Pedagogy is to professionalise (future) teachers with regard to the continuing process of inclusive teaching.
- To achieve this goal a virtual seminar, an educational film and an online tool with possibilities for reflection as well as developmental assignments are being devised and linked with current research projects at the department.
In the virtual seminar an authentic learning scenario - a virtual school - serves as a framework for all assignments. Seminar participants become active members of the school community, who take on tasks in a school development process towards an inclusive school. The steps in this process are developed throughout the semester in progressive work stages. To facilitate this process video sequences, texts and a fictive school homepage are available. The various modules of the seminar focus on topics such as legal framework, inclusive school life and values, teaching and inclusion as well as school internal and external cooperation.
The educational film consolidates the contents of the seminar and puts a focus on attitudes and beliefs regarding polar opinions such as support in the context of social integration vs. exclusion, equality vs. inequality, value orientation vs. diagnosis orientation.
The online tool supports future teachers in comparing their individual motives, expectations and attitudes with real professional requirements. The focal points in this process are pressure and inclusion. To achieve this, a number of research-supported criteria are identified, that apply across domains for a successful professional life. With the help of an innovative feedback system future teachers are provided with developmental assignments in order to further develop existing potential as well as with information about counselling service offers.
